A little girl’s bed had to be ripped apart in the middle of the night after a python slithered underneath sparking terror in the home.
Shocking footage of the carpet python reveals the terrifying size of the snake after a professional snake catcher was called out to capture it.
The uninvited guest crept into the girl’s room in the early hours of Thursday morning at the home in Buderim, 95km north of Brisbane.
The video shows a professional snake catcher arriving in the early hours of Thursday to remove the animal.
First, the snake catcher uses a torch to locate the snake under the girl’s bad.
The family can be heard asking how big the snake it when the catcher lets them known its a substantial python.
‘It’s not a bad sized carpet python,’ he said.
The catcher then battles the snake through the boards of the girl’s bed before revealing the beast to the family.
